ABC Teachers are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant with prior experience in an early years setting to work on a full time basis at a school in the Newport area, to commence September 2024.

Salary based on qualifications and experience.

About the role

This role will include:

  • Full time work for the entirety of the first half term of the academic year.
  • Working alongside the class teacher as a classroom support in a reception class.
  • Will have a potential to become permanent for the right applicants.

About the school

This will be based in a one form entry school located in the Newport area, with a recent ofsted report coming back as GOOD.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant- Newport- September you will:
  • Be able to commute to or around the Newport area.
  • Have worked with the Early years foundations stage framework in a school or nursery.
  • Be able to work typical school hours of 08:30-15:30 from Monday to Friday.
  • Ideally will need a qualification in education, however, people who have recent similar past experience will also be strongly considered.
  • Be able to gain references from relevant roles from the last 2 years.
  • Be able to obtain a DBS registered to the update service.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Salary dependent on daily rate.
