About the Role:
As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. This involves delivering pre-prepared lesson plans, ensuring students stay on task, and maintaining a positive learning environment. You will work across a variety of secondary schools in Telford and surrounding areas, gaining valuable experience and insight into the teaching profession. The role is open to both part and full time.
ABC Teachers will provide all the relevant training internally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students complete set work.
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
- Follow lesson plans and school policies.
- Provide support to students when necessary and engage them in their learning.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.
Requirements:
- A genuine interest in working in education.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour and ensure a productive learning environment.
- Confidence to lead and engage with students across different year groups.

Requirements
- Recent Graduate: Ideal for those who have recently graduated from university (this is not essential)
- Experience: Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential
