About the role
As a Supply Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting schools across Stoke-on-Trent by delivering engaging lessons and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning in the absence of regular staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons in line with the school’s curriculum, ensuring continuity for students.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive and productive learning environment.
- Adapting to various school settings, building rapport with students and staff.
- Following school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety standards.
- Providing feedback to the regular teacher on lesson outcomes and student progress.
- Engaging with students of varying abilities and backgrounds to inspire their learning and development.

Requirements
- Experience teaching in UK schools across multiple subjects is advantageous.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt quickly.
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- QTS certification or equivalent is required.
