About the role
ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated and motivated Sports Science Supply Teacher to work with secondary schools in the Selly Oak area. This exciting role offers an opportunity to engage students in the dynamic world of sports and physical education while developing your teaching expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Sports Science lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, covering both theoretical and practical aspects.
- Inspire students to explore topics such as physiology, fitness, and the impact of sports on well-being.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement.
- Work collaboratively with staff to deliver high-quality physical education and sports science education.

Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Sports Science or Physical Education at the secondary level is preferred.
- Passion for sports, health, and education with excellent classroom management skills.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a suitable qualification to teach Sports Science i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
