ABC Teachers are seeking a Classroom Carer for a Special Educational Needs setting in the North of Birmingham.
About the role
Your role will be to support the academic, social and emotional development of students. You will be working with a wider, multidisciplinary team and expected to contribute to students' development alongside the team. You will also be expected to work individually, taking a proactive approach to supporting students and growing their independence and confidence.

A large Special Educational Needs setting, supporting students from 2-19 years with complex physical disabilities and medical conditions. The school is a safe and supportive environment for students to thrive, offering young people the opportunity to develop skills for life.
Requirements
- Experience of working with children or adults with additional needs is desired, however, a passion to support and caring for young people with physical and learning disabilities is essential.
- A DBS on the update service, or willingness to undergo a DBS Check.
- An Ability to work individually and take a proactive approach to student care and learning.
- Manual Handling training is desirable.
- You must display a commitment to the protection and safeguarding of young children and adults.

- Experience of personal care such as feeding or toileting.
- Experience of working with children or adults with additional needs is desired, however, a passion to support and caring for young people with physical and learning disabilities is essential.
