ABC Teachers are currently recruiting for a creative and passionate SEND Teacher for a role within a well-established Special Educational Needs school we work closely with in Erdington.

About the role

  • Deliver the curriculum in a creative and engaging way, adapting to students who have social, emotional and mental health needs and ASD.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, with a child-centred approach.
  • Working effectively alongside a wider staff team, and alongside teaching assistants in the classroom to provide the best education for the students you can.
  • This will be a part time role, giving you more flexibility to work around your current commitments.

About the school

  • A well-established SEND school that caters for primary and secondary aged students on a site with great facilities.
  • The students here have a range of moderate learning needs, but they primarily cater to children who have SEMH and struggle in a mainstream school setting.
  • A positive and forward-thinking environment to work in, with a passionate and nurturing staff and leadership team who do all they can for the children in their care.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Teacher you will:
  • The ability to adapt teaching methods to suit pupils with all abilities, whilst being able to build a strong rapport
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a larger team.
  • You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • QTS and SEND experience
