ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team, working in secondary schools across Stoke-on-Trent. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with classroom experience, looking to make a real difference in education by supporting pupils and teachers.
About the role
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans and encourage student participation.
- Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring adherence to school policies.
- Support students with their learning and ensure lessons are progressing smoothly.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain high standards of education.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Secondary school cover supervisor you will:
- Previous experience working in a secondary school environment (as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role)
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- A passion for education and helping students achieve their best.
- Flexibility to work across various schools in the Stoke-on-Trent area.
- Hold or able to obtain a DBS check and register to the update service.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Previous experience working in a secondary school environment (as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role)
