We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team.
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team. As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of our students, working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education. You will be involved in planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals or small groups, as well as assessing, recording, and reporting on students’ progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Learning: Assist teachers in the delivery of the curriculum by planning and delivering lessons to small groups or individuals, both in and out of the classroom.
- Student Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging all students to engage with their studies and participate fully in school life.
- Assessment and Reporting: Monitor student progress, assess work, and provide feedback to teachers, parents, and students to support ongoing learning.
- Classroom Management: Support classroom management, ensuring a safe and orderly environment that promotes learning.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and to contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: HLTA qualification or equivalent is essential.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Commitment: A passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
