About the role
ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Selly Oak, starting in September.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons to students in KS3 and KS4.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects and explores various religious perspectives.
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Participate in department meetings, training sessions, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Religious Studies at the secondary level is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a suitable qualification to teach RE i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
