About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join our dynamic team starting in January 2024. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a love for languages and culture among students, with a focus on either French, Spanish, or German. The position is open to both experienced teachers and NQTs/ECTs who have a flair for creative teaching and a desire to make a real impact on students' learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Teach French, Spanish, or German to students across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and motivating classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the MFL curriculum and contribute to extracurricular language activities.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and school events as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject.
- Experience teaching French, Spanish, or German at secondary level (KS3-KS5).
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and fostering an engaging learning environment.
Desirable:
- Ability to teach a second language.
- Experience with extra-curricular activities related to MFL (e.g., language clubs, exchange programs).
