About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Social Care Teacher to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and social care, a passion for teaching, and the ability to engage students in meaningful learning experiences. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that prepares students for careers in health and social care fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Health and Social Care lessons to students at various educational levels.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that covers key topics such as health and well-being, human development, and social care practices.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure academic and personal growth.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in health and social care education and integrate them into the curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health and Social Care, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Teaching certification ( PGCE) in Health and Social Care or a relevant subject area.
- Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of health and social care principles, practices, and current issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current in the field of health and social care education.
