We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Graduate Student Cover Supervisor to join our team at ABC Teachers.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for covering classes during the absence of academic staff, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning environment for students. This role is ideal for graduate students looking to gain valuable teaching experience and contribute to the educational community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage student behaviour in the absence of the main course instructor.
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons or assist with the delivery of content as provided by the course instructor.
- Support students with queries related to the subject matter and help them stay engaged in the lesson.
- Ensure that all students are following class rules and maintaining a productive atmosphere.
- Take attendance and manage any administrative tasks as directed by the course instructor.
- Provide feedback to academic staff on student participation and behaviour during the session.
- Assist with any other classroom-related duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Currently enrolled as a graduate student at a UK University
- Strong academic background science, maths, humanities or English with a solid understanding of relevant course content.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and engage students in a classroom setting.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred but not required.
- A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to student engagement.
