About the role

ABC Teachers are currently recruiting experienced teachers who are seeking the flexibility of general cover teaching. This position will enable you to work with a range of schools within Derbyshire supporting them when faced with staff absences and sickness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Classroom Management: Effectively manage and maintain a positive learning environment.
  2. Curriculum Delivery: Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  3. Adaptability: Quickly adapt to different school settings and confidently teach a range of subjects.
  4. Assessment: Provide constructive feedback and assessment to support student progress.
  5. Professionalism: Uphold a high standard of professionalism and positive representation of ABC Teachers.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of General Cover Teacher you will:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold a valid QTS,
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching in secondary schools.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different school environments and year groups
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in fulfilling assignments.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold a valid QTS,
