About the role
A secondary school in Swadlincote is looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable General Cover Teacher to join their team on an ad-hoc basis. As a cover teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students stay engaged and continue with their learning. This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and are comfortable teaching across multiple subjects and age groups.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- Experience in a secondary school setting, ideally with students aged 11-16.
- Ability to teach across various subjects (specialism in one or more subjects is a bonus).
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a productive and respectful classroom environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new environments.
- A proactive, flexible approach to teaching and problem-solving.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
- Experience in a secondary school setting, ideally with students aged 11-16.
