About the role
ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Moseley. As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students to develop their culinary skills and knowledge about food science.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and inspires student interest and achievement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting a positive classroom culture.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Food Technology Teacher you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- a suitable qualification to teach Food Technology i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
