About the role
ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated and creative English Teacher for a long-term supply position at a well-regarded secondary school in Saltley, Birmingham. Starting in September 2025, this full-time role will run for the full academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You’ll be teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering dynamic and engaging lessons that foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking. Planning, marking, and assessment will be required as part of the role, along with contributing to the wider school community.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the English curriculum
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a suitable qualification to teach English i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
