Are you a Dance Teacher looking to expand your skill set in a classroom setting? We are seeking adaptable and enthusiastic Dance Teachers to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Stoke on Trent. This is a great opportunity to take your classroom management skills to the next level while keeping a flexible work schedule.
About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise secondary school classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain focused on the pre-set work.
- Utilise your experience in Dance to inspire and manage students, maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Support students by clarifying instructions and assisting with their work when necessary.
- Handle classroom behavior effectively, ensuring that lessons run smoothly.
- Report back to teaching staff on student behavior, progress, and any issues during the day.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Dance Teacher you will:
- Previous experience as a Dance Teacher or working with young people in an educational or coaching role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and engage large groups of students.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and schools.
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Previous experience as a Dance Teacher or working with young people in an educational or coaching role.
