Are you a passionate and adaptable educator looking for flexible teaching opportunities in secondary schools across Telford or Shropshire? ABC are currently seeking a dedicated General Cover Teacher to join our team on an adhoc basis.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers looking to work in a dynamic and varied environment, covering a range of subjects and year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general cover for absent teachers across different secondary school subjects.

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure that students stay engaged and on task.

  • Manage classroom behavior effectively and ensure a positive learning environment.

  • Support students' learning and development in a range of subject areas.

  • Report on student progress and behavior to the relevant teaching staff.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Cover Teacher - QTS you will:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous teaching experience in secondary education is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to work across a variety of schools and year groups.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage diverse classroom environments.
  • A passion for teaching and helping students reach their potential.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
