About the role
ABC Teachers is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work on a day-to-day supply basis across a variety of Secondary Schools in Redditch and the surrounding areas. This flexible opportunity is perfect for university students, youth workers, recent graduates, or aspiring teachers looking to develop their skills and make a positive impact in local schools. This is a flexible and rewarding role that allows you to gain hands-on classroom experience while supporting schools with short-term cover needs.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Supervise classes during teacher absences

Ensure pupils remain on task with pre-set work

Build strong relationships with students and staff

You will be working in a range of welcoming and supportive Secondary Schools in Redditch and nearby areas, many of which are Ofsted rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding'. These schools value strong classroom management, creativity, and a proactive attitude – making them ideal settings for professional growth and development.
Requirements
- Have a genuine interest in education and working with young people
- Be confident, adaptable, and proactive
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills
- Have prior experience working with children or young people
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years.
