About the role
As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting students’ learning across various secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent. You’ll step in to manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task with their assignments. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop essential skills, gain hands-on experience, and work flexibly around your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of secondary school subjects.
- Manage student behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Support students in completing their assigned tasks and address any queries.
- Work flexibly to cover a variety of subjects and year groups as needed.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor- No experience required you will:
- A passion for working with young people and supporting their educational journeys.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Reliability, adaptability, and a professional approach.
- No previous teaching experience is required – comprehensive training will be provided.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
