Are you Level 2 Qualified in British Sign Language? Are you able to fluently communicate using BSL? We are seeking a Teaching Assistant looking for work within Birmingham supporting students with hearing impairments.

About the role

Designed to support and enhance the learning of students through an approach of total communication, we are looking for someone to work with us on a flexible basis to provide consistency for students with a primary need of communication support.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of British Sign Language Teaching Assistant you will:
  • British Sign Language Stage 2 qualification and are a fluent BSL user.
  • Experience in providing signed communication support or voice over
  • An appropriate NVQ2 in supporting pupils learning would be advantageous
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • British Sign Language Stage 2 qualification and are a fluent BSL user.
