ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to work in an SEN School in Redditch on a full-time basis.
About the role
- As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised assistance to secondary students aged 11-16 with behavioural difficulties.
- This is a fantastic opportunity to really make a difference to young people’s lives by supporting a range of students who experience barriers to learning.
- Classes are small between 2-8 students per class allowing you to make more of an impact, you will be supporting Teachers in student learning and providing pastoral care and guidance.
- The role is on a full-time basis with the possibility to be ongoing for the right candidate.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Behaviour Support Assistant you will:
- Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting, especially with those who have special needs, is desirable.
- Experience through volunteer work in schools, camps, or tutoring can be considered
- Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
- Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- 2 years supporting children with special educational needs
