Are you looking to work in education? We are currently seeking flexible and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Tamworth. This role offers the perfect opportunity to gain classroom experience, with the flexibility to work on a full-time or part-time basis.
About the role
- Supervise students in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring they remain on task with the work that has been set.
- Manage classroom behavior, maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
- Assist students with their work when necessary and provide support to ensure they understand the task at hand.
- Follow the lesson plan provided by the teacher and ensure that learning objectives are met.
- Report back to the regular teacher about the class’s behavior, progress, and any issues that occurred during the lesson.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Agency Cover Supervisor you will:
- Previous experience working with young people, such as in a school, coaching, or youth work setting, is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Flexible and adaptable approach, comfortable covering a variety of subjects.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
