We are looking for a motivated and skilled Academic Mentor to provide targeted support in Maths, science and English to students in a secondary school in This role is perfect for individuals passionate about helping students reach their full potential in core subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths or English, focusing on identified gaps in knowledge.
- Support students in achieving their academic goals through engaging and effective sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers to align interventions with the curriculum and student needs.
- Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as necessary.
- Build positive relationships to inspire confidence and motivation in learners.
Requirements:
- A strong academic background in Science, Maths or English (degree preferred).
- Experience working with students, either in a school setting or through tutoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
- A proactive and supportive attitude.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
