ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in an SEN School in Wolverhampton full-time.
About the role
- Working alongside a class teacher and a team of experienced support staff to support students with severe and profound learning difficulties.
- Work with students aged from four to nineteen, one to one, or in small groups.
- Keep accurate records of student interventions, progress, and any relevant information.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational development of all students.

- Promote inclusive practices within the classroom and school community, fostering a positive and accepting atmosphere.
- Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders regarding student progress, achievements, and any concerns
- The school is focused on creating a stimulating environment for each student.
- Running weekly CPD training, to keep up to date with new practice.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of 1-1 Support you will:
- Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and sensory needs.
- Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
- Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Two years supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
